The 'Wolves Wears Diffusion' fashion show, held at the WV1 Bar and Restaurant inside Molineux, brought together some of Wolverhampton's smoothest operators.

Former Wolves goalkeeper Matt Murray, along with other ex-players, modelled the best clothes the Wolverhampton store has to offer, while The Voice finalist Sasha Simone wowed the crowd with a fantastic singing performance.

The show was put together to raise money for Promise Dreams and the Steve Bull foundation.

Organiser Christine Goodman said: "We had such an enjoyable evening and everyone who took part really helped to make it a spectacular event.

"We really worked hard to make everything as glamorous as it could possibly be and all of the feedback has been extremely positive."

The night was made possible thanks to the hard work of local businesses and the generosity of some of the city's famous faces.

Models had their hair done by staff at Ego Hair Salon on Tettenhall Road, Princess Street jewellers TA Henn hooked participants up with some of the finest watches and jewellery, while local make up artist Ria Moore ensured everyone looked suitably glamorous when it was their time to shine.

Ex Wolves star Matt Murray works regularly with Promise Dreams and made good use of his contacts to get ex players Tony Daley, Rob Edwards, Lee Naylor and Dave Barnett to strut their stuff on the catwalk.

For many in the crowd, however, the evenings crowning moment came when the sporting heroes ditched the Armani suits and Ted Baker jackets.

Christine said: "When the guys went down the catwalk in their briefs it really brought the house down, especially for the ladies in the room."

The evening was the first organised by Diffusion on this scale, with Christine saying it is something they would be looking to continue with similar projects in the future.

She said: "I think it is good for Wolverhampton that we can put something like this together.

"We all had so much fun and raised money for charities that desperately need it."
