A total of 22 new jobs are being created.

The site in Linkway Retail Park has been given a high-tech makeover to feature new self-service kiosks, digital menu boards and tablet computers.

Customers also have access to free Wi-Fi facilities and a bright new decor.

McDonald's operations consultant Neil Reynolds said: "Towns and cities are having a tough time at the moment, so we're thrilled to be able to play our part and invest in the area to bring an extra boost to the economy here in Cannock."
