The 24-year-old from Stafford, who bases his commentary style on the likes of Stan Collymore and TalkSPORT's Sam Matterface, beat off 500 other wannabe commentators to make the final of the People's Pundit which was held at Wembley.

In his final challenge, Mr Diouri was tasked with announcing exciting news from the side of the hallowed turf, he had to judge a new manager based on 10 questions at a press conference and he hosted his own radio show.

Ahead of his big moment in the contest run by radio station TalkSPORT, he met Sky Sports star Mr Stelling at Apres bar in Birmingham.

Mr Stelling gave Mr Diouri some much needed pointers and tips to help him perform on the day.

Mr Diouri said: "I chatted with Jeff about football things we've seen over the season and he also given me a few punditry tips."

Mr Stelling, who presents the six-hour Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports every Saturday afternoon, is renowned for his incredible facts and hilarious gags with colleagues.

He said the People's Pundit competition was a brilliant opportunity for wannabe pundits without professional experience to get their foot in the punditry door, adding: "It could be a massive break for one of our final five finalists, because it is so difficult to get into the media these days."
