Two cars were involved in the smash on the Aston Expressway heading out of Birmingham at around 2.20pm today.

Two lanes have been blocked causing delays of up to an hour.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said the casualties are currently being treated and will be taken to hospital.

The crash happened around 300 yards short of the M6 junction.

On Monday a 43-year-old driver from Birmingham died following a crash on the same road.

In that incident a silver Rover MG collided with two other vehicles after driving against the flow of outbound traffic leaving the city centre.
