900 complaints received by Walsall NHS Trust

Hundreds of complaints were received by the NHS trust which runs Walsall Manor Hospital over the past three months.

A total of 921 formal and informal complaints were received by Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust between December and February.

There were 304 complaints last month, compared to 19 complements.

In the previous month, 319 complaints were recorded compared to 62 complements.

In a report to the Trust board, which meets today, medical director Amir Khan said: "During the month, concerns regarding clinical care, assessment and treatment again remained the more dominant theme with communication, medication error, attitude and appointments the remaining themes."
