Crews from Oldbury Fire Station attended the house in Hill Top Road, where a dog had climbed out of a bedroom window and was stuck on a porch roof.

Watch Commander Adam Joyce said: "It was a Bullmastiff. The owners had gone out and the dog had climbed out of the window. There were people in the street who flagged us down as we drove past at about 9.25pm.

"We were deciding how to rescue the dog when someone managed to get in touch with the owner and they came back and got it back in through the window."
