Firefighters were called to Grange Lane following the smash at around 11am yesterday.

The road was closed for a short time as fire crews winched one of the vehicles, a Jaguar, off the road.

Firefighters said there two women had been injured.

One suffered a suspected neck injury and the other hurt her arm.

They were both checked at the scene by West Midlands Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital for further checks and treatment.

Watch Commander Pete Cherrington, of Brierley Hill Fire Station, said: "We helped police to clear the road of one of the vehicles.

"The carriageway did have to be closed but it was only for a short time."
