In the first incident an unknown object was thrown from a bridge on the Black Country Route, smashing through the windscreen of a lorry at the Vulcan Road Island, Bradley.

The incident took place at around 9pm on February 25 as the 69-year-old lorry driver passed through Bradley.

The next day, at around 7.50pm a house brick was thrown from a pedestrian walkway near Bilston Fire Station in the second incident, damaging the 49-year-old lorry driver's windscreen.

PC Phil Upton, from Bilston East and Springvale Neighbourhood Policing team, said: "Amazingly both lorry drivers were not hurt in the incidents but this could have ended very differently.

"The actions of these people pose a risk to anyone on the road.

"We are keen to identify the perpetrators as this could have resulted in serious injury ? or worse.

"They need to know how reckless their actions were and to consider the potential consequences.

"Anyone caught causing criminal damage can expect to be arrested and put before the courts."

Anyone with information is urged to call PC Phil Upton at Bilston police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
