Man in court after girlfriend seriously injured in 'fall' from Walsall flat block

A man charged with attempted murder after his girlfriend fell from the balcony of a tower block in Walsall appeared in court today.

Unemployed Michael Riggon, aged 52, of West Bromwich Street, Caldmore, spoke only to confirm his name, age and address at Walsall Magistrates Court.

The alleged victim, Kayli Hill, aged 28, was seriously injured in the fall from the third floor at Wood House, on Little London in Caldmore at around 8.30am on Friday. She is still in a serious but stable condition.

Riggon was remanded in custody and will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on April 28.
