Woman killed in Staffordshire A5 crash named

A woman who died after her car overturned in a crash on the A5 has been named.

Erift Jane Wade, aged 30, was pronounced dead at the scene, near to Gailey Island in Staffordshire.

The woman's Ford KA was the only vehicle involved in the crash, which happened in the early hours of Saturday.

Ms Wade lived in Alsager, Cheshire.

She had been travelling from Cannock towards Gailey.

The section of the A5 was closed for several hours while an investigation took place into what happened.

Ms Wade's family is being supported by specially trained officers from Staffordshire Police.
