Brothers plead guilty after Wolverhampton policewoman dragged 35 metres by stolen car

Two brothers have admitted their involvement in an incident where a female police officer was dragged 35 metres across a road junction by a stolen car.

Pc Buryana was hit by a stolen Ford Fiesta and dragged on the crossroads of Willenhall Road and Neachells Lane, Wednesfield, on December 2.

She suffered muscular and soft tissue injuries as a result of the incident.

At Wolverhampton Crown Court today Donovan Icke, aged 20, of High Road, Willenhall, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated vehicle taking and driving without a license or insurance.

His brother Daniel, 21, of Clarence Road, Bilston, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking.

The court heard that the car had been stolen along with a television from a house in Lyndale Drive, Wednesfield, sometime between midnight and 4am.

Following the incident Neachells Lane was sealed off for several hours while forensic experts examined the scene.

The Icke brothers were given conditional bail to appear at the same court for sentencing on March 18.
