Last week, British Transport Police released CCTV images of a man they wanted to speak to after a woman's arm was punctured with a needle outside New Street Station in Birmingham.
The woman, aged 22, had just left the station, when a man walking past her, on Stephenson Street, stabbed her in the arm with what appeared to be a needle at around 8.30am.
The man then walked off hurriedly, leaving his victim with a small puncture wound.
A man, aged 43, was arrested following the appeal on suspicion of assault and possession of a knife. He has been released on bail until February 27 pending further enquires.
