Inquest opens into death of Walsall woman found dead in school grounds

An inquest has been opened into the death of a woman who was found dead in the grounds of a school.

Charlotte Louise Christodoulou, 23, formerly of Walsall but lately of Shrewsbury, was discovered at Harlescott Junior School just before midnight on January 4.

John Ellery, coroner for Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin, opened and adjourned the inquest until May 12.

During the hearing at Shrewsbury's Shirehall yesterday, Mr Ellery said she was a single employed woman who was born in Walsall but was living in Shrewsbury at the time of her death. Three people were arrested following the discovery of Charlotte's body at a side entrance to the school.

Two men, 32 and 39, and a woman, 31, A 32-year-old man, 31-year-old woman and 39-year-old man, all from the Shrewsbury area, were arrested on suspicion of obstructing a coroner. All three have been released on police bail to reappear at Shrewsbury Police Station on March 6.
