PICTURED: Crash on major Wolverhampton route sees driver smash through wall and school fence

A crash on a busy Wolverhampton road ended up with a learner driver hitting a wall and a schools fence.

The crash, which involved two cars, one a Vauxhall Corsa driven by a learner driver and the other, a Vauxhall Meriva, took place on Stafford Road, near the Vine Island.

A residential wall and the fencing of St Anthony's Catholic School were damaged following the accident.

Simon Partington, the instructor in the Astra at the time, said: "We were driving down the left and a car came in from the right.

"We both crashed into the wall and front fencing of the school."

West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene, but there were no injuries to either party.
