But Gordon Hill - aka the Wealdstone Raider - had plenty of fans, hundreds in fact, when he turned up in Wolverhampton.

Even Wolves players including Nouha Dicko wanted to meet Gordon, who attended the team's win over Blackpool at Molineux.

The 48-year-old builder has become an internet sensation, with the video that spawned his fame getting more than seven million views on YouTube.

In the clip, Gordon was filmed confronting a rival supporter at a semi-professional football match featuring his beloved Wealdstone.

It even yielded a top-five hit single, 'Got No Fans', which went on to be backed by a host of footballers and celebrities on Twitter.

Queues snaked down the street when Hill did a meet-and-greet session at a Wolverhampton estate agents.

At least 500 were at Goodchilds in Queen Square on Saturday, paying £1 to meet the internet celebrity with the money going to charity.

Goodchilds director David Warke said fans were going mad for the Wealdstone Raider.

"It was a bizarre experience and the queues were huge - everyone wanted to meet him," he said.

"Gordon's done days like this all over the country but he said the Wolverhampton people were amazing.

"He went to the Wolves game afterwards and players like Nouha Dicko were all having selfies with him, which made his day.

"When he was at Goodchilds he even did a video saying he was a Wolves fan now.

"He seemed to really enjoy himself, he was laughing a joking and he said his catchphrase quite a bit as you'd expect.

"The whole day was a big success."

The Goodchilds branch has fundraised for the past year for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Lucy Smith is the fiancée of one of the firm's clients, Jason Guy of First4Staff, and was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013.

Around £1,000 was raised from Hill's visit and Mr Warke said that had helped Miss Smith's fundraising exploits pass the £30,000 mark.

He added: "We've done a lot of fundraising for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, such as a golf day, but we wanted to something different and that's where Gordon came in.

"It linked in well with the Wolves game on the same day."

Fans tweeted their pleasure at internet celebrity Hill turning up in Wolverhampton.

Conor Levingston said: "Just seen the Wealdstone raider in Wolverhampton, my life is complete."

The builder's alcohol-fuelled outburst was at a Wealdstone match away at Whitehawk in the Ryman Premier League.

Hill's words to the opposition supporter - "you've got no fans" and "you want some?" have become catchphrases among football fans.
