Man charged with murder of Baljit Singh

A man has been charged with the murder of Baljit Singh.

Stuart Millership, 32, of no fixed address was arrested on New Year's Eve in Kingswinford while the body of Mr Singh was discovered by officers the following day in the basement of a property on Beeches Road, Rowley Regis.

A post mortem discovered that Mr Singh from Meadow Road in Harborne died as a result of head injuries and a knife wound to the neck.

The 50-year-old was last seen on December 23 when he left his home to collect a birthday cake for his son. His devastated family have been told of the latest developments in the ongoing investigation.

Millership will appear before Wolverhampton magistrates on Monday.

A 27-year-old woman arrested at the same time as Millership has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A 28-year-old man and 23-year-old woman from Kingswinford also remain on police bail.
