Man taken to hospital after iron bar attack in supermarket car park

A man has been taken to hospital with a head injury after he was hit with an iron bar in a supermarket car park.

Police were called to Asda car park in Saint Lawrence Way, Darlaston, at 11.20am today to reports of disorder.

The victim was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital by police officers.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The man believed to have carried out the attack drove away in a black Vauxhall Zafira.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to call 101.
