Willenhall man left unconscious after attack at Birmingham Snow Hill station

A Willenhall man was left unconscious with a broken jaw after he was assaulted on a packed platform at Birmingham's Snow Hill Station.

The attack was launched on platform three of the city centre station at around 8.15 pm on Saturday night.

The 26-year-old victim, from the Willenhall area, also had several teeth knocked during the attack.

Investigating officer DC Tim Friend, of British Transport Police, said: "There were also a number of people leaving Snow Hill station when the incident took place and some may also have tried to assist the victim.

"I would urge anyone who believes they can assist the investigation to come forward and contact police in confidence."
