Second man charged after woman viciously assaulted in her Sandwell home

A second man has been charged with wounding following a brutal assault on a woman in her Sandwell home.

The victim sustained severe injuries including broken bones, a fractured eye socket and other injuries.

The 36-year-old woman was taken to hospital and continues to be treated for her injuries.

Police were alerted by the ambulance service at around 6am on Friday, December 5, to reports of an assault on a woman at an address on Trident Drive in Warley.

Jason Lunn, aged 26, of Barston Road, Oldbury, will appear before Sandwell Magistrates Court this morning.

Liam Lunn, 21 of Giles Road, Langley was arrested on Monday and later charged with wounding. He appeared at Sandwell Magistrates' Court yesterday where he was remanded in custody to next appear before court on March 3, 2015.

A 24-year-old woman is also in custody in connection with the attack. She was arrested yesterday afternoon on suspicion of wounding and will be questioned later.

Sergeant Chris Jones, from Sandwell's Violent Crime team, said: "We are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around Trident Drive early on the morning of Friday, December 5, to call me or one of the team."
