Two women taken to hospital after Coseley crash

Two women were taken to hospital after the cars they were travelling in collided on a busy Black Country road.

Emergency services were called to the A4123 Birmingham New Road at its junction with Shaw Road in Coseley at 7.15am today.

A red Daewood and a green Vauxhall Corsa were involved in the smash but both drivers were not trapped when crews from Bilston Fire Station attended the scene.

West Midlands Ambulance service treated the women but their injuries were not thought to be serious.

They were taken to New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton as a precaution.

Fire crews made the road safe.
