Driver cut free from car after two-car smash

A motorist had to be cut free from his car by firefighters after being involved in a crash with another vehicle near Stourbridge.

The two-car smash happened on Brettell Lane in Audnam at around 7.30pm this evening.

Fire crews from Brierley Hill and Stourbridge attended the scene.

Watch Commander Ant Dingley, from Stourbridge, said: "Two people in one car were unhurt but crews had to cut the other driver free from the car using mechanical cutting equipment."

The driver was taken to Russells Hall Hospital and his injuries were thought to be serious but not life-threatening.
