Operator Xercise4Less's new Wolverhampton site will be its largest yet.

The 39,000 sq ft gym is in The Grasshopper Building in Craddock Street, Whitmore Reans, and offers monthly membership from £9.99.

The company is advertising for a membership manager, membership and housekeeping team members, personal trainers and freelance fitness instructors.

It is Xercise4Less's 24th site and houses more than 400 pieces of equipment including cardiovascular fitness equipment and resistance machines.

There is also a full sized boxing ring with boxing bags and a large free weights area.

The gym, like all other Xercise4Less branches, will have a women's only fitness studio hosting more than 40 free classes per week .

Paul Hancox has joined as general manager at the gym after holding various roles in the fitness industry. He now sees this as the perfect opportunity to work for a growing name in the fitness industry and said he jumped at the chance.

"I'm really excited to take on the manager role at Xercise4Less and I can't wait to start working with the new team, and meet our new members. Xercise4Less is a very customer driven gym that stays in touch closely with its members through social media, this was very attractive to me and one of the big reasons I applied for the job.

"The gym is moving with the times and constantly has new ideas - setting them aside from regular gyms. Being the chain's largest gym, there's a huge buzz about it - I'm really proud to be a part of it."

Xercise4Less chief executive Jon Wright said: "With Xercise4Less, we've set out to create 'The People's Gym' at each site, realising members use the facilities for lots of different reasons. We're here to ensure people of all ages, and fitness levels, can benefit from great facilities, with cost not being a barrier.

"The fitness industry has become very greedy and there's no need to charge members sky high prices - a good gym can be run very economically. We're excited about our further expansion in the Midlands, and across the UK, and will continue to extend our services over time to suit the needs of all our members."

The gym's current membership ranges from 16 to 83 year olds and it offers corporate as well as personal membership packages.

Members now have access to fitness information and advice, and have the ability to book classes on the move, thanks to a free app available on iTunes and Android. The app has many benefits such as push notifications which remind members about class times, a feature which allows members to keep food diaries and exercise logs so they can keep track of their progress. The app also enables users to add their own personal music choice through iTunes to keep them motivated during their workout.

Xercise4Less was recently nominated for Budget Gym of the Year for the third year running at the National Fitness Awards.
