Where to watch fireworks displays and bonfires in the Black Country and Staffordshire

Families wanting to enjoy Bonfire Night can head out to an array of events taking place across the region.

Fireworks begin at 8.30pm

Tonight Brunswick Park in Wednesbury will mark the occasion with a family fair, live music, and the traditional bonfire and fireworks.

Gates at the event open at 5pm, with the bonfire to be lit at 6.30pm and fireworks at 7.30pm.

On Friday night it is Smethwick's time to shine, adding a festive touch to the evening with the Christmas and Diwali lights outside Smethwick Council House being switched on at 7pm, with a bonfire and fireworks display at Victoria Park.

Also in Sandwell on Friday night is Dartmouth Park's bonfire and fireworks display, with a funfair providing some extra entertainment for the family.

Dudley's display will go off with a bang on Saturday, with the Himley Hall event said to be the largest local authority fireworks display in the country.

Dudley Council's environment and culture boss, Councillor Hilary Bills, said: "We're very excited about this year's fireworks show, which promises to bigger and better than ever before."

Walsall gets its turn at Willenhall Memorial Park the same night, and over at Shugborough Estate the Stafford Roundtable Bonfire and Fireworks will also feature a funfair with a variety of rides, stalls, and catering.

Rounding off the region's events with a two-day affair is the West Midlands Safari Park extravaganza, featuring late-night rides, safari illuminations, and fireworks set to love-themed songs such as Led Zeppelin's timeless classic Whole Lotta Love.

Gates open at 2pm on Saturday with last admission at 7pm, and open at 1pm on Sunday with last admission at 6pm. Animal enclosures shut from 4pm.
