Councillor Phil Bateman has called on people living in Ashmore Park to be wary due to properties being targeted in the area.

He said: I want the public on Ashmore Park to be very vigilant this week and work closely with one another to keep an eye on each others property. We have seen three burglary's carried out on the Park last week. Plus one account of criminal damage.

"So residents be very aware and lets work together with the Police to ensure we have a trouble free week.

"Also it goes without saying that if you do know who has committed the crime please report it to the police."

West Midlands Police can be contacted on 101 for non-emergencies.
