A link road from the site on the Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire border will be connected to the westbound slip road onto the M54 at junction two.

It means the slip road will be closed from tomorrow at 8pm until Monday morning.

Diversion signs will be put by the junction.

Drivers wanting to travel westbound from Wolverhampton will have to join the M54 at junction one, Featherstone via the A460 Cannock Road or junction three at Tong via the A5.

More work on the section of the road will take place next month.

The eastbound slip road at junction two onto the motorway will be closed on the evening of October 3 until the morning of October 6.

Staffordshire County Council's economy leader Mark Winnington said: "The junction is a vital component of the site as it provides direct access onto the M54 and the motorway network – a major attraction to businesses which need the best connections possible. Now the site is really starting to take shape which again demonstrates our commitment to deliver. We'd again like to thank people for their patience."
