Trains delayed after passenger abusive towards driver

A passenger was abusive towards a driver on a London Midland train today causing services to be terminated between Hednesford at Rugeley Trent Valley.

The incident happened at Bloxwich Railway Station at 8.58am.

London Midland spokeswoman Lindsey Preece said: "A passenger was abusive towards one of our drivers.

"The incident happened at Bloxwich. The train was terminated at Rugeley Trent Valley. Services between Hednesford and Rugeley Trent Valley have been suspended.

"We are providing alternative transport for people."

The passenger who was abusive towards the driver was traveling on the 7.39am train from Birmingham New Street.
