The winter vomiting bug was at the Wednesfield-based hospital for two-and-a-half weeks. It led to several sections being closed including the dementia ward, the trauma and orthopaedic ward and part of the Heart and Lung Centre.

All areas have now been cleaned and reopened.

Bosses have asked that any suffering symptoms of norovirus who doesn't require treatment not go to the hospital so as not to spark another outbreak.

The first sign of norovirus is usually suddenly feeling sick followed by forceful vomiting and watery diarrhoea. For more details clock here.
