The discovery was made on July 22 on farmland off Meerash Lane in Burntwood.

Police now say the coroner is satisfied that the body is that of Amanda Hawkins, aged 44, of Walsall.

Staffordshire Police spokeswoman Faye Casey said: "We can confirm that the identity of the body is Amanda Hawkins.

"We are still waiting for a cause of death but it is not being treated as suspicious."

She went missing from her assisted accommodation complex on Sutton Road, Moxley, on May 30.

Police embarked on a large-scale search for Miss Hawkins.
