Women wanted after £400 stolen from woman, 87, in distraction burglary

Police want to speak to these women in connection with a distraction burglary at the home of an 87-year-old woman.

Officers believe the women may have followed the pensioner to her home in Halesowen after she got off a bus near near Long Mynd in Hayley Green.

The pensioner got home and then received a knock at her door.

She opened it to see three women who she recalled had been travelling on the same bus.

One of the women asked for directions to a local hospital while another asked to use her toilet before then asking for a glass of water.

While the women were in the house £400 was stolen.

The distraction burglary took place at midday on June 10.

Acting Detective Sergeant Matt Nightingale said: "Inquires so far have revealed that the women followed the pensioner from Asda, then onto the bus and then to her home.

"We would like to hear from anyone who recognises the three in the images, call us on 101 or via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
