The animals were removed from a house in Birmingham New Road in Lanesfield.

No-one was injured and police are making inquires.

Police spokeswoman Catherine Hickman said: "Officers seized four dogs, believed to be possible dangerous breeds, after the animals had entered the garden of a neighbouring house."

One shocked neighbour, who didn't wished to be named, said: "I drove up our street and I saw police cars outside a few houses. I couldn't tell which one. Then about five minutes later an ambulance arrived. It must have been serious for the ambulance to get involved."

The dogs were seized by police at around 7.30pm Monday night.
