Man charged over Sparkbrook murder

A man has today been charged with murder following an alleged disorder in Birmingham.

The 28-year-old, from Alum Rock, will appear before Birmingham Magistrates tomorrow accused of the murder of Ikram Ullah Khan in the Sparkbrook area of the city.

Mr Khan died after being stabbed in the neck as violence broke out on July 2.

Another man was today arrested on suspicion of Mr Khan's murder, taking the total number of arrests to 11.

The 23-year-old was detained at a Birmingham police station this afternoon.
