It always has been the case that the so-called "housing market" is really several markets dependent on the economic situation per area at the time. Unless and until the West Midlands' industrial and commercial activity increases, the situation will not improve. Additionally, the trend for low paid, zero- hour, burger bar-type jobs are detrimental to buyers applying for mortgages. That is, the employed are not paid a sufficient weekly wage to afford a mortgage and associated living costs.

Wherever you find Labour councils have adopted Anti business, Anti Car policies. Shops close Factories Close and unemployment remains stubbornly high.

It was this very denial from Labour that helped fuel the financial mess and created the unemployed who cant afford a mortgage.

I would not trust Labour with my grand kids pocket money
