Chandlers in Lichfield has a price tag of £250,000.

The brasserie is situated inside a Grade-II listed building in the city centre.

Over the years it has picked up numerous awards from Michelin and the Which Good Food Guide.

In 2011 it was voted Best Evening Restaurant by the Lichfield Chamber of Commerce.

Paul Reilly, from property advisers Christie & Co in Birmingham, said: "Chandlers is a fine brassiere serving great quality, locally sourced food and is now being placed on the market due to the current owner's impending retirement.

"It's reputation, demonstrated by its numerous awards, should ensure significant buyer interest."

The 3,200sq ft restaurant can accommodate 140 diners.

It emerged last week that a former Indian restaurant at a Cannock complex has been put up for sale.

The former Taaj Indian Fine Dining at Orbital Plaza in Bridgtown, has a price tag of £25,000 and bosses at Christie & Co say it is already attracting a lot of interest.
