The club have taken action after poring over CCTV footage from the Rotherham game on April 18 and acted to suspend four people, who have not yet been publicly identified.

A spokesman from the FA said today: "Regarding the pitch incursion at Wolves on April 18, we noted that Wolves had taken action to issue bans to four supporters who came onto the pitch. We are not taking any further disciplinary action."

Five pitch invasions involving up to 300 supporters took place during the final minutes of the game, which Wolves eventually won 6-4.

The game's governing body, the FA, is satisfied the club did all it could do to prevent incursions to the playing surface with adequate levels of stewarding and policing on the day.

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey swiftly condemned the actions of the minority of the encroachers, who mostly ran on from the South Bank end of the pitch, and vowed to ban those identified. The game was watched by a crowd of 30,110, the biggest at Molineux for over 33 years.
