Police hunting two men after assault

A 44-year-old man was left with a broken nose after two robbers stole his mobile phone and wallet.

Police are hunting two men for the assault, which caused the father-of-two to lose consciousness.

The man was walking along Station Road in Langley, Sandwell at around 4am. A wallet inscribed with the words 'To Daddy love Leo' was stolen in the attack.

The men are described as black in their mid-twenties and of a medium build. One man was around 5ft 10ins and the other slightly taller.

Det Con Pete Miller from West Bromwich CID, said: "This was a particularly savage attack leaving the man with serious injuries which he is still continuing to recover from.

"The wallet was a Christmas present given to him by his seven-year-old son and holds significant sentimental value. It is also very distinctive and I am eager to hear from anyone who may know where this wallet is."
