Woman airlifted after falling from horse in Kidderminster

A teenager was airlifted to hospital today after falling from her horse in Kidderminster.

The 18-year-old woman suffered serious pelvic injuries during the incident, which also saw the horse roll over her.

It happened in Kinver Lane, Caunsall at around 3pm.

Ambulance crews including a Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham rushed to the scene

She was airlifted to the major trauma unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman John Hawker said: "Crews arrived to find an 18-year-old girl that had fallen from a horse she was riding. It is believed the horse then rolled over the girl.

"The teenager was treated at the scene for suspected serious pelvic injuries."
