Border Collie rescued after four-foot open sewer fall in Kidderminster

A dog which fell down an open sewer has been rescued by firefighters.

The Border Collie became trapped in the sewer, around four foot below ground level, after it fell in, in Habberley Road, Kidderminster at around 10.15am this morning.

An animal rescue team was called from Bromyard but was not needed as firefighters were able to reach down and lift the dog out.

The pet was due to be checked over by vets later on Sunday as a precaution.
