The body, believed to be that of Donald Davies, was discovered in wasteland near the M6 yesterday afternoon.

The 57-year-old, who suffered with Transient Epileptic Amnesia, had last been seen at around 8am on Thursday at his home in the Portobello area of Wolverhampton.

Officers say his next of kin have been informed, as has a coroner. The death is not being treated as suspicious. The body has yet to be formally identified.

Mr Davies, who was married to Lesley Davies, had gone missing before in January. On that occasion police found him in Smethwick High Street later the same day. His condition caused him blackouts and left him unable to recognise where he was or people he knew.

When he went missing on Thursday, Twitter users took to the website to spread a police appeal to help find him.
