Court order over site for Dudley mosque

A court order will be issued to Muslim leaders setting a date for when land earmarked for a controversial mosque must be handed back to a council, it has been revealed.

Dudley Muslim Association lost its latest appeal in a long-running legal battle with Dudley Council over the site, in Hall Street, at the High Court last week.

And council officials today confirmed the next step would see an order issued by the court setting a date for the land to be transferred back to the authority.

It will also give a date by which the council's legal costs must be paid.
