Children's Hospital searches for new governor

Birmingham Children's Hospital is looking forsomeone to join its Council of Governors.

The governors are elected to represent the views of staff, patients and their families and the public in relation to the hospital and its future.

The elected Public Governor for Sandwell would join 26 others who jointly have a say in decisions and hold the board of directors to account.

Martin Cossum, aged 67 and from Oldbury, has been a public governor since 2011. He said: " It is a very inclusive organisation, and as a governor I felt valued and that my involvement was helping people in Sandwell, particularly children."

Elections will be held in February 2014. Email foundation-trust.office@bch.nhs.uk by Friday.
