George Marcou, owner of Ocean Wave Fish Bar in Wolverhampton, was shocked when the silver Fiat 500 hit the front of his premises at around 8pm yesterday.

He said: "I was standing there serving fish and chips and there was this car coming closer and closer. It was like a cartoon. Thank God nobody was hurt."

The impact knocked tiles off the front of the building in Bushbury Lane and dented the window and door frames. Mr Marcou said the driver was a 21-year-old customer of his. He said: "She came to get chips and she just didn't stop."?He added that her 'brand new' car only had a small scratch.
