Travellers who pitched up on a school car park, causing chaos for parents, have moved on after being issued with an order by police.
Four caravans and a number of vans and cars had parked up at Cheslyn Hay Sport and Community High School’s coach park.
It remained shut this morning while staff tidied up rubbish left behind, and congestion built up around the school again as parents struggled to find somewhere to park.
It comes as more than 30 caravans have pitched up on land nearby in Middle Hill. Council chiefs today said they were hoping to move them on soon.
Cabinet member for communities, culture and localism Mike Lawrence spoke of his relief that the travellers had moved from the school.
