Man hospitalised as stolen Willenhall car hits lorry

A stolen car hit a lorry as it fled police today. The car had been stolen from an address in Benton Close, Willenhall and was spotted by officers at 2.40am.

It hit a lorry in Charles Street.

A passenger in the car, a 21-year-old man, was trapped and has been taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Two other men in the car ran from the scene.

Following a search of the area, officers later arrested a 17-year-old from Willenhall on suspicion of theft at an address nearby and he is currently helping police with their inquiries.

The driver of the HGV was not injured.
