Poll: Should health experts take a 'softly-softly' approach towards childhood obesity?

With health experts being urged to tone down the way they tell parents their children are overweight, we want to know if you think the 'softly-softly' approach to childhood obesity is the correct one.

NHS guidance to back a national weigh-in programme for schoolchildren says letters to parents should "non-judgmental and positively phrased".

During the 2011/12 programme, some 93% - more than a million - of eligible children were measured throughout the school year. The results showed the proportion of children who are obese roughly doubles from 9.5% of children at the start of primary school to 19.2% at the end (Year 6).
