Two off-duty West Midlands Police officers dressed as a zebra and a monkey earned their stripes when they arrested a man on suspicion of violence.
The officers were wearing the fancy dress suits on a night out in Coventry.
The 48-year-old suspect was held in Ansty Road, Stoke, Coventry, after allegedly making threats to kill while in a branch of Co-op.
The drama happened on Monday, but only came to light today when officers posted a series of tweets about it.
