Mid Staffs NHS chief Lyn Hill-Tout announces retirement
The chief executive of Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, Lyn Hill-Tout, today announced she is retiring.
Mrs Hill-Tout will leave her post at the end of May.
She started at the trust, which runs Stafford Hospital where hundreds of excess deaths occurred, in 2011.
She said it had been a "great privilege" working for the NHS for 39 years.
