Tributes paid to motorcyclist killed in Bloxwich crash
The family of a young motorcyclist killed in a crash at the weekend have described him as a golden lad loved by all.
Ryan Husted, aged 25, died after his green Kawasaki motorbike collided with a silver VW Golf in Cresswell Crescent, Bloxwich.
Mr Husted, of Parker Street, Bloxwich, died at the scene of the crash despite efforts of passers-by and paramedics.
Emergency services were called to the road just before 11.15am on Saturday.
Hundreds of people met on Sunday to leave floral tributes at the scene and pay respects to his family.
Prior to his death, Mr Husted, whose nickname was Rusty, had been saving up for a mortgage in the hope of settling down with his girlfriend of 18 months, Jenny Robinson.
“Ryan always had fun – he lived life to the max. He was a real Jack the Lad,” said Miss Robinson, aged 22.
“There aren’t words to describe how I feel –I’m just empty.
“I’ve lost my best friend as well as my boyfriend.
“He was my partner in crime.”
Former Sneyd Comprehensive pupil Mr Husted worked at Walsall-based Chamberlain and Hill as a castings core maker for around 18 months.
“He was doing really well too – he was a hard worker,” added Miss Robinson.
Mr Husted had a love for cars and motorbikes and enjoyed fishing.
He was also a former member of Just-Kroozin, a club for car enthusiasts, which disbanded around eight months ago.
He had been with the club, which would meet at The Boathouse in Rushall, since its official opening around seven years ago.
He also met Miss Robinson at The Boathouse when she worked there as a barmaid.
Mr Husted’s father Paul described his son as “an outgoing lad” who would be sorely missed.
His mother Angela, who said she was heartbroken at the news, added that he was a “golden lad” who she loved greatly.
A 52-year-old man has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of drink driving in connection with the crash.
“Everybody loved him, and he knew it,” said Mr Husted’s 22-year-old sister Jade.
“I have so many memories of him, and they’re all so good. He just did his best for everyone.
“There were literally hundreds of people here on Sunday.
“It was a little overwhelming, as we weren’t expecting so many people, but I’d really like to thank everyone for their support.”

I meet rusty 7 years ago when he joined up to just-kroozin with his red corsa with his best mate danny holden.
Not long after he joined just-kroozin he became a staff member and we did many things together
including my stag do in wales and he was there on my wedding day,
Last year i decide to take my wife up to the pub with all our mates,while rusty sneaked in to my house and put some wooden flooring down in the spare room as my wife was due to have a baby and this was due to be my daughters new bedroom.
Rusty then came up to the pub to me and said " all done rich"
.I said " thank you and what do you want mate"
His reply was "sort me a few drinks"
In the car club rusty was there from the start till it ended,he was a very very popular guy and will be missed by so many

I didnt know Ryan or his family but i just wanted to pass on my condolences.
