Two boys and woman killed in a Christmas Day motorway crash in Staffordshire were today named.
Adnan Habib, aged 10, and Mohammed ArsalaanHabib, four, together with passenger Bushra Tazarib, 32, died as a Ford Focus they were in veered off the M6 and hit a tree.
They were going to the wedding of boxer Amir Khan’s second cousin. The children’s mother, Parveen, 38, who drove, and their sister Misbah, 17, of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. survived.
The crash closed the motorway in both directions for three hours from junction 14 at Stafford, to junction 15 at Stoke.
Khan, at the Bolton weddding, said: “My heart goes out to the families of those involved in this terrible accident. No one could believe it.
“One minute everyone at the wedding was joyous, the next it had turned to despair.”
