Woman hurt as her car hits Tividale house

An elderly woman was taken to hospital with leg injuries today after her car hit a house in Tividale.

The crash happened just after 8am in Raby Close. The woman was released from the vehicle by the fire service and taken to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley by ambulance. Fire crews from Tipton and Dudley attended.

Meanwhile, commuters faced delays after two accidents on the M6 during this morning's rush hour. Three cars collided on the slip road leading to the A38 between junctions seven and six of the southbound carriageway at 6.15.

No-one was injured, and the free recovery service was dispatched to remove the vehicles. They were cleared by 7.30am.

Commuters faced delays of more than 30 minutes as queues of vehicles built up.

An HGV broke down in lane one between the two junctions at 7am.

No-one was injured and the carriageway was cleared within an hour.

And in West Bromwich a man was taken to hospital after he suffered leg injuries when he was in collision with a car in Carters Green, near the Albion Roundabout, at 7.25am.
