£6m to be shared by Black Country colleges

Three Black Country colleges have scooped more than £6million in Government cash towards redevelopment projects, it was announced today.

Dudley Sixth - the sixth form centre for Dudley College

Dudley College, Stourbridge College and Halesowen College will receive cash towards work to provide new teaching and student facilities.

It includes £2.2m towards Dudley College’s new engineering teaching centre, which will be built in Priory Road.

Stourbridge College has received £2.3m towards a new health and social care building, which will be built at the Hagley Road site.

Bosses at Halesowen College have received £1.9m towards a £5.9m scheme to replace outdated teaching blocks.

An animal care and tourism block has already been built at the campus.
